Deacon Dennis Macey has been an active member of Sacred Heart Parish since moving here in 1979 with his wife Mary Ann and their two children. He was ordained by Bishop Peter Smith at Sacred Heart in 2017 after eight years of preparation. Dennis currently assists Fr. Ken as a part-time Chaplain at Rogue Regional Medical Center and as an Outreach volunteer with his wife to bring Holy Communion to homebound parishioners. Dennis also continues to serve our community as a Firefighter / EMT / HazMat Team Member since leaving his carpentry business 1985. Dennis has a BA in Philosophy and a BS in Fire Service Administration and an MA in Theology. You’ll find Deacon Dennis serving on the altar and praying for you – on the days when he is not driving a fire engine!
