Becoming Catholic (R.C.I.A.)
During the summer months, many of us journey near and far to see new places and discover beautiful vista. Becoming a fully initiated Catholic (through R.C.I.A.) is an exciting journey too – of faith!
You may have been attending Mass for years as the spouse or friend of a Catholic, or be someone whos quest for Truth has led you here. Perhaps your whole family is making the journey together. Whatever the case, R.C.I.A. is the process by which persons from many faith journeys come together to learn and consider becoming fully initiated members of the Catholic Church. Is this you or someone you know?
- Adults who are not yet baptized
- Adults baptized in other churches who are interested in becoming Catholic
- Baptized Catholic adults who have not received their First Communion
- Not yet baptized older children and teens: parent must first contact Ann Brophy
For those attending English Mases, weekly RCIA sessions begin Tuesday, September 12, in the parish hall, 6:30 – 8:00 for adults. (For information on children and teen’s program dates and times, please talk to Ann. For those attending Spanish Masses, pleas contact Sister Maria and meet on Monday evenings). At these informal and friendly sessions, you’ll become acquainted with the Catholic faith and our parish community. For more information or to sign up, please contact Ann Brophy at the parish office or firstname.lastname@example.org. We look forward to welcoming you!
